Vaughn: Ayoade is really phenomenal

Vince Vaughn has nothing but praise for his latest co-star, Richard Ayoade.

The Wedding Crashers funnyman stars alongside the IT Crowd actor in sci-fi comedy The Watch, which also features Ben Stiller and Jonah Hill.

"He's the best. He's hilarious and he's really phenomenal in this movie, I mean I had so much fun working with Richard," he said at the movie's Hollywood premiere at Grauman's Chinese Theater.

"He makes me laugh so much and was just so much fun to be around."

Richard joked that he was only picked to join the A-list cast of his latest movie because he was "cheap".

The British actor, writer and director quipped: "They were obviously very daunted about my unique brand of commercial failure being applied to them. I think they'd spent the budget on getting them, and I'm the cheapest actor you can get - legally, you cannot pay someone less."

The film, directed by Akiva Schaffer, follows a group of men who form a local neighbourhood watch in an attempt to get time away from their families, only to uncover an unexpected conspiracy.

Meanwhile, Vince's next project will see him reunite with Wedding Crashers co-star Owen Wilson on The Internship.

"Me and Owen are doing a movie together called the Internship which has been a lot of fun," he said.
