THE "godfather" of Italian cuisine Antonio Carluccio is returning to Malton for the Game and Seafood Festival in September.

Antonio Carluccio, who first coined the phrase Yorkshire’s Food Capital having visited Malton in 2010, will be headlining the event on Saturday, September 10.

The founder of Carluccio’s high street chain, Antonio said:“I am excited to return to Malton and see how it has changed over the last few years. I am particularly interested to visit some of the new Made in Malton producers.”

The Game and Seafood festival, which is the spin off to the successful Malton Food Lovers Festival is designed to show off the very finest game from the moors and seafood from the coast. Running over one day organisers are planning live cookery demos, lessons, talks tastings, stalls and street food.

Festival director Tom Naylor-Leyland said: “I am so delighted that Antonio is coming back to Malton, our festival visitors are in for a real treat.”
