LAS IGUANAS brings a touch of Latin American flare to York this month with the launch its 48th site.

Tucked away in Back Swinegate, Las Iguanas York will be a fiesta of reclaimed and recycled materials - ranging from original brick walls to pieces of distressed timber, creating warm and unusual surfaces throughout the building.

Designed by B3 and set over two spacious floors, the 120-cover restaurant also benefits from a spacious terrace on the upper level, which, seating 70, will be the place to see and be seen for a cocktail or two in the warmer months.

Guests at Las Iguanas York can expect traditional dishes from across Latin America using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients, including Mexican classics like Las Iguanas’ famous fajitas, as well as burritos, enchiladas and picanha steak, alongside decadently delicious burgers fresh "from the flames", including a black bean and beet veggie variety.

Not to be forgotten are the delicious selection of tempting cocktails including classic Caipirinha’s made from Las Iguanas own cachaça distilled near Rio de Janeiro. Las Iguanas also have delicious and extensive vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and children’s menu’s, ensuring everyone can get a little taste of South America in York.

From Monday, March 28 to Thursday, March 31, Las Iguanas York will be offering two for one on all dishes from noon to 5pm.

As well as this, Las Iguanas will be taking part in a Big Burrito Giveaway whereby 100 free burritos will be given out to the first 100 guests each day from Friday, April 1 to Sunday, April 3, from noon to 3pm.
