MALTON’S breweries are preparing to raise their glasses for a celebration of beer.
Beertown, organised by Bad Seed and Brass Castle breweries, is returning for a second year this weekend to showcase the best beers around, alongside live music from local bands.
Phil Saltonstall, from Brass Castle, said more than 40 beers would be on offer during the festival, which raises money for Ryedale Special Families.
He said: “For the second year, we are bringing the brightest and best UK beers to town.”
Bands appearing include The Y Street Band, East Coast Vagabonds, The Grand Ole Ukes of York, The Slow Down Band, Beth McCarthy, TE Morris and David Ward Maclean. Food is being provided by Malton Relish and the Mount Hotel.
Phil said: “This promises to be a great, fun weekend while raising money for a worthwhile charity.”
Beertown takes place at the Milton Rooms, Malton, on Friday and Saturday, from 1pm to 11pm, with a preview event tomorrow (Thursday), from 4pm to 11pm.
