A MICHELIN-starred gastropub is celebrating awards success.
The Star Inn, at Harome, was placed at number five on the list for the Top 50 Gastropub Awards 2015.
The pub, which also offers a nine-bedroom hotel just opposite the pub, has won numerous awards and its continually praised for its food cooked by head chef Andrew Pern.
The list of the Top 50 Gastropubs was announced at an awards ceremony in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, and The Star Inn was the only North Yorkshire pub to feature in the top 10.
Nicola Oldroyd, business support manager at the pub, said: The Star Inn at Harome has continued its impressive record of consistently remaining in the top five since the awards began.
“The pub’s general manager, Stelian Cristea, was also shortlisted for the prestigious Front of House Manager of the Year Award. Stelian has worked at The Star Inn for almost eight years and has led the front of house team since 2009.”
• The Pipe and Glass in South Dalton, was listed at number 3 in the awards whilst The Angel Inn at Hetton came in at number 43.
