Grange Hotel to highlight two literary lives

AN HOTEL in York is showcasing some of Yorkshire’s finest literary talent.

The Grange Hotel will be hosting two literary dinners in the coming months. Policeman-turned-author Mike Pannett, author of popular bobby-on-the-beat books including Just The Job, Lad, will speak about his life in the Metropolitan and North Yorkshire forces on May 11.

Then on June 11, Andy Seed, whose memoirs, All Teachers Great And Small, have just been released in paperback, will share his experiences as a teacher in the Yorkshire Dales.

Mr Seed is also set to sign copies of his book in Waterstones, where it has been chosen as book of the month, on May 5.

George Briffa, general manager of the Grange Hotel said: “The Grange is always interested in the cultural and artistic element of York that is so much part of the city. We wish to extend our influence by hosting these literary dinners and with who else is better to commence but with these two Yorkshire authors.”

Both dinners cost £32 and include a two-course dinner with a coffee. For details, phone 01904 644744 or email info@grangehotel.co.uk
