A YORK author has completed a new set of short stories and says he plans to hold a launch party in the city.

Alex Willmott, who lives in Carnot Street off Leeman Road, has written the Boxman Series of stories.

Preview copies have generated positive reviews and he is no working on the general release.

Mr Willmott, who is originally from south Wales, said: "It's great to hear such positive feedback for the Boxman Series, I'm currently speaking with publishing houses with regards to how best to take this forward. Whatever happens I'll be bringing it out pretty soon, and there'll be a big launch party in York for sure."

Mr Willmott's first novel was called Selah. The new series of stories are horror and science fiction, and include stories called Don't let the Minchman in and Samuel, the Adjacent.
