Kate Atkinson
YORK author Kate Atkinson has just missed out on a major book award.
She had been the boomakers’ favourite to win the Costa Book Award with her novel Life After Life. But it was announced last night that former mental health nurse Nathan Filer had won the award with his first novel, The Shock of the Fall.
