After moving to the Lake District, florists Persimmon ‘Simmy’ Brown is working hard to re-establish her florist’s business.
She gets a big order for the floral decorations for an important society wedding.
All is proceeding well on the wedding day when the bride’s brother is murdered. Simmy was the last person to speak to him and therefore becomes a prime witness.
Intrigue and family disputes, hidden secrets and suspicion all cast their veils over the case from which Simmy can't extract herself without doing her own sleuthing.
A pleasant read, from an author with a string of crime novels to her name.
