That’s right, everyone, Beached 2008 is getting close!

This year’s event will take place from August 14 to 17 on Scarborough’s South Beach. The event is FREE and will be delivering more bands who will become household names in years to come.

Former acts to grace the stage include The Libertines, The Fratellis, Kaiser Chiefs and The Enemy. This year’s festival is to be headlined by One Night Only!

Just a couple of things - the site will be fenced off for the first time this year, but don’t worry, as I said it is still free. Secondly, no alcohol can be brought on to the site, as bottles and cans hidden in the sand could make a rather disgusting accident.

Part of the weekend is to be based around “The Big Salute”.

This is an initiative to support the British Forces.

You’ll be able to donate and buy wristbands on site.
