WE started this year with One Night Only tipped for big things, with mega labels tangled in a bidding war to get hold of the cheeky Helmsley boys.

We have ended the year with One Night Only just having had their first single (You and Me) in the charts, having toured the country a couple of times and, as ONO drummer Sam stated: "I'm really glad to be home, I had my first Christmas dinner yesterday."

As worrying as it is that Sam ate a Christmas dinner over a week before Christmas, and that he did state clearly that it was his "first" - meaning there is plenty more to come - it is great to have the guys back in the area, and I'm sure they are all just as glad to be home.

So what can we expect from the guys in 2008? Well, firstly there is a HUGE headline tour kicking off in January (check out the listings). We can also look forward to hearing a brand new single, with everyone's favourite ONO party song 'Just For Tonight' set for release on January 21 in three formats again (you can order that right now from their website, see gig listings for the address).

Finally, away for the festivals and touring that the guys will inevitably be doing, we can look forward to their album being released in February, too.

In other One Night Only news, Just For Tonight has been named "Record of the Week" on smiley-smiley Jo Whiley's show, where everything is "the best thing ever" and everything is "great" but not many things make it as record of the week?only one each week, I think!

One Night Only would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and they hope you enjoy some "good old gravy and a host of desserts" over the festive period!
