A PICKERING couple will join thousands of concert-goers at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Graham and Julie Danby have been allocated tickets for the concert and picnic on Monday.
Organised by Gary Barlow, stars in the line-up include Sir Elton John, Dame Shirley Bassey, Sir Cliff Richard, Sir Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder.
Mrs Danby said her husband had applied for a ticket through the national ballot.
“We haven’t heard of anyone else in the area who has been given tickets, but there were only 5,000 allocated countrywide.
“We have been so lucky to be able to attend the concert of all concerts.”
