Moor View is a handsome stone built house which forms part of the bespoke development of 8 individually designed family homes known as Thornton View. Situated on the edge of the delightful Ryedale village of Thornton le Dale, the views from this house are exceptional and provide a perfect example of why this area is so renowned for its stunning countryside. The beauty of this house is in the simplicity of its farmhouse formation and its understated appearance belies the vast proportions of its interior. The split level kitchen is an interesting layout and lends itself to a creative arrangement and use of space, as well as providing access to the utility room and dining room. The living room is spacious and well proportioned and has the added benefit of a south facing window. An office and cloakroom are both accessed from the entrance hall and a third reception room is ideal as an office/computer room. The upstairs landing is enormous and more of a room in itself rather than as a simple means of access to the bedrooms etc. Three of the bedrooms are fitted with en-suite facilities, which leaves the fourth bedroom with exclusive use of the house bathroom. An integral garage and hard-standing provide ample off road parking.

LOCATION
Arguably one of the prettiest villages in North Yorkshire, Thornton-le-Dale is as beautiful as it is unspoilt, with many of the original stone built cottages and village houses fronting a picturesque meandering beck. Thornton-le-Dale is also a gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and it is the surrounding countryside and moorland which attracts so much appreciation. The stretch of coastline partly bordered by the Moors includes the resorts and fishing ports of Scarborough, Filey and Whitby, all of which are located within a particularly pleasant drive of twenty miles or so. The nearby market town of Pickering sees the start of the 18 mile railway heritage line, which runs across the Moors to Grosmont via Goathland through villages and countryside, all familiar territory to followers of the Heartbeat TV series. The city of York lies approximately 23 miles South West of Thornton-le-Dale with good access via the A64. Rich in heritage, York offers a wealth of historic, tourist and shopping attractions, along with its famous racecourse. George Husdon brought the railway to the City and, to this day, York boasts fast rail links to London and Edinburgh. The university is highly rated and secondary education in both the public and private sectors amongst some of the best in the country.

DIRECTIONS
As you enter the outskirts of Thornton-le-Dale village from the Pickering direction, turn right into Roxby Road. Then take the second right into Castle Close and continue to a sharp right hand bend and turn right. Thornton View is an estate drive on the right hand side.
