THESE wedding photographs were brought into the Gazette’s office by someone who had found them while having a clear out. They had no knowledge about the people in the picture. From the detailing on the doorway it seems likely it was taken at St Peter’s Church in Norton.
In the corner of the image some text indicates the picture was taken by Masser’s of Malton.
This combined with the clothing of the wedding party suggests it was taken during or just after the war.
