THE Helmsley Archive is a collection of more than 5,000 images illustrating the history of the town over the past 150 years.
The late John Collier bequeathed the photos to Helmsley Town Council which, together with the Ryedale Area Committee of North Yorkshire County Council and the North York Moors National Parks Authority, has continued to support the project.
The archive is now being augmented by residents. Anyone who can provide further images, should go to helmsleyarchive.org.uk
Here we feature a collection of seasonal photos courtesy of The Helmsley Archive.
