THIS month’s feature from Malton Camera Club offers five fantastic images by one of its members, Sue Hogarth.

Pictured are:

Millington pond – Millington is one of the better known and picturesque areas of the Yorkshire Wolds with many steep valleys.It was taken using a D7100, 18-250mm, F20; 1/160sec;

Bicycle made for two – this was taken on the banks of Buttermere in the Lake District. Being March, the sun was lower, casting good shadows and the unaware cyclists made the picture. It was taken using a Nikon D90 with 16-85mm lens at F20; 1/160 sec;

Figure in alleyway – this picture was taken on a very wet camera club night out in the centre of York. The first club outing of the new season is to Scarborough Mere on Saturday, August 16. This was taken on a D90, 16-85mm F8; 2.5 sec;

Bluebells – the bluebells in the woods at Welburn were stunning this year. Sue shot them using a shallow depth of field so only the front ones are in focus. She used a Nikon D7100, 18-250mm lens, F5; 1/250sec;

Sutton Bank – always a good walk along the top of Sutton Bank, this one taken so far down the track to Lake Gormire when the bluebells are in bloom. A challenge climbing back up, though. Sue used D90, 16-85mm, F18; 1/80sec.
