A FLORIST, who has raised money for Breast Cancer Research for more then four years, will take part in a national fundraising initiative.
In The Pink will see 27-year-old Gemma Piercy from Dales Florist in Pickering dressing in pink all day on Friday, October 24 and selling cakes in the shop to raise money for the charity.
Gemma has also organised games to play and there will be collection boxes in the shop for welcomed donations as well. As a dedicated fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research and Cancer Research UK, Gemma has taken part in In The Pink twice before going to work in her pyjamas and has taken part in the Race for Life for the past four years.
She said: "I think it's very important to raise money for cancer because unfortunately more and more people seem to be getting it."
To contribute to Gemma's fundraising, people are invited to pop into the shop for a cake on Friday.
