IT'S a craze sweeping the country and staff from the Black Swan Hotel in Helmsley were the latest to take part in the ice bucket challenge.
Every department was represented from the restaurant and tearoom to housekeeping and kitchen including General Manager, Paul O’Hanlon.
Paul put forward the team challenge following his numerous nominations by individual members of staff .
Money raised is donated to the ALS Association and its British equivalent, the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MND).
The Black Swan has now challenged The Feversham Arms & Verbena Spa, the Royal Oak, and the Feathers Hotel, also in Helmsley and the he Star Inn at Harome, to also complete the challenge
Paul said: "I was absolutely delighted by the turnout by the staff to take part in the ice bucket challenge in aid of ALS and for the great team spirit that they showed.
"We are still collecting the money raised and are so pleased that this is going to such a worthy charity."
