TWO young cousins who organised a fundraising event to help the children’s ward of a hospital where one of them received care have raised £389.
Four-year-old Kayley Hills, four, and Paige Theobald-Wilson, six, held a coffee and craft morning to raise money for the children’s ward at Northallerton Hospital. The girls wanted to do something after Kayley was treated there for a partially collapsed lung after an asthma attack.
Their grandmother, Katrina Theobald said Kayley and Paige, who live in Helmsley and attend the town’s primary school, said they were delighted with the amount they had raised.
"We would like to thank everyone who supported them on the day and gave a donation," she added.
"We thought £100 would be great, so to raise so much more is wonderful and we are very proud of them."
