A NORTH Yorkshire farm supplies and country store has celebrated another successful year at Ryedale Show and is already looking ahead to next year.

Chris Jeffery, of Green’s Country Store, in Thirsk, has been going to the show since he set up the company 11 years ago along with his wife Kate.

He said that despite a soggy start to this year’s 149th annual show, it was still a huge success.

“We had a really good day and a lot of people came to the stand which is good. Ryedale is a very good show for us because we see a lot of our customers there,” he said.

“We will definitely be going back again of course and next year is the 150th anniversary so we wouldn’t miss that.”

Green’s had a large stand at the showground last Tuesday and took the Bateman range of their livestock equipment with them including cattle crushes and other cattle handling systems.

Chris said that once again the equipment was well received and that he enjoys using the show as a chance to catch up with his customers away from business.

He said: “It’s nice to see the people who have supported myself and Kate ever since we set up the business.

“It’s a good way for us to catch up with them rather than just talking business all the time.”
