THE organisers of Saltersgate Country Show and Sports are inviting people to name a new litter of puppies.
The five puppies, three boys and two girls, belong to the Saltersgate Hunt.
Their mum is called Jamjar and dad is Ladbroke, therefore, as is tradition, all of the puppies need a name beginning with the letter ‘L’ and they must be of two syllables.
All nominations will be reviewed by Hunt master Graham Cockerill and the chosen names will be announced at the Country Show and Sports on Saturday, July 25, at Saltersgate Bank Top, where visitors will also be able to meet the puppies.
All nominations should be sent by email to sfhs.sec@hotmail.co.uk or in writing to Sheila Garbutt, Scawton Cottage, Lockton YO18 7PZ Closing date for all entries is July 1.
