TRACTOR drivers are encouraged to sign up to a tractor run for its 13th year.

About 100 drivers have already signed up to the Beadlam Tractor Run, which will be held on Sunday, May 3 to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Bernard Simpson, one of the organisers of the race, said that he was hoping the weather would be good to encourage spectators to come out and support the drivers.

He said: “We always have plenty of spectators, especially if the weather is nice.

“We are all really looking forward to it and the more people who get involved, the better it will be.”

Bernard said that about 200 tractors are expected to take part in the run, which will leave from Beadlam Grange at 9.45am.

Drivers will travel to Fadmoor, Kirkbymoorside and Hutton-le-Hole before stopping to eat lunch at Spaunton.

They will then come back through Lastingham and Cropton before arriving back in Beadlam, having covered about 50 miles.
