THE FROM prime cuts of meat to overnight stays and event tickets, the Rillington Young Farmers’ annual charity auction is preparing to sell off some interesting prizes.

Held every year, the group has decided to donate to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Marie Curie Cancer Care for 2014 for the auction, to be which will be held on Friday, November 28.

Ginette Sixsmith, of the group, said: “With the Yorkshire Air Ambulance needing £9,000 a day to keep the helicopters going and Marie Curie Cancer Care nurses needing £10,000 an hour to continue their care work, we feel that they are both very worthy causes which would benefit from our donations and are also very close to our members’ hearts.”

A variety of donated prizes will be up for auction at the Pickering Recreation Club, including nights away, butchers meat trays, event tickets, meal vouchers and farming and country items, which have all been donated. The event will start at 7pm with supper provided during the evening.
