YORKSHIRE Federation of Young Farmers celebrated their 40th anniversary on Saturday with a ball at York Racecourse.
Up to 480 past and present members attended the event including many from the Harrogate district and Ryedale district clubs.
The night was organised by Rachel Wilson, County Chairman of the Federation in 2003-2004 and consisted of a three-course meal, a speech by guest speaker Adam Collier, a Funeral Director from Helmsley and the night ended with a dance.
Adam said: “I’ve done a couple of things over the years in regards to speaking at dinners and judging some of the public speaking competitions and I was honoured to be asked to speak at the 40th anniversary celebrations.
“A good night was had by all.”
