PREPARATIONS are under way for this year’s 137th Driffield Show which takes place on Wednesday, July 18.
For 2012, the activity arena once again has an action-packed timetable throughout the day. Back by popular demand is Phil Gibbons and his lurchers who will be giving racing displays.
New for this year, Phil will also be introducing spectators to his team of ferrets for fun performances and ferret racing.
This year Beverley Building Society will be the sponsor of the ever-popular activity arena. Cheryl Nicholson, office manager for the sponsors, Driffield Agricultural Society, said: “We are delighted to be associated with the Beverley Building Society as both societies reflect traditional standards and welcome their sponsorship as it allows us ensure the activity arena continues to maintain the high standards our visitors have come to expect.”
Graham Carter, head of development at Beverley Building Society, said: “We are proud to be associated with such a long-established event and look forward to meeting old and new acquaintances.”
Driffield Show tickets are now available at driffieldshow.co.uk or by phoning the show office on 01377-257494.
Tickets are priced £12 for adults, £10 for pensioners, £4 for children or £28 for a family ticket. Free car parking.
