BUSINESSES are being urged to cash in on a new scheme to aid rural enterprises.
The Rural Economy Grant Scheme, worth up to £60 million, will be launched at the end this month and will offer grants to local businesses of up to £1 million, said Robert Hall, of Savills Agribusiness.
He said the grants were aimed at micro and SME businesses to boost farm competitiveness and support significant growth in particular for agri-food, rural tourism, forestry, renewable energy and high growth sectors.
