ALLERTON Park Horse Trials has announced the addition of an advanced class to its autumn competition on September 15 and 16.
Dressage, showjumping and cross-country riding take place in the scenic lakeside setting of Allerton Park Estate, between York and Harrogate.
Event organiser Lady Mowbray said: “After last year’s event, we received so much support and encouragement that we decided it was the right time to take the step up to advanced.”
The team at Allerton Park includes course designer Ian Stark and builder Dominic Lawrence. Work has started on the newcross- country course, covering more than 3.25km and include 33 fences.
There are also plans to improve the BE100, novice and intermediate courses, including a remodeling of the island water complex.
An additional 25 acres of pasture to the site will allow upgrading of the dressage arenas, collecting rings and parking areas.
