DRESSAGE star Emile Faurie, one of the team that brought home a gold medal at the 2011 European Dressage Championships, is to host a lecture demonstration at Bishop Burton College.
Emile, who recently paid a visit to the college to watch young riders who are benefiting from his charity The Emile Faurie Foundation, will deliver a presentation entitled The Development of the Dressage Horse on Friday, February 3.
Kim Knightley, the college’s equine director, said: “Emile Faurie is one of the country’s best equestrian athletes and a very talented horseman.
I’m sure he’ll be handing out some invaluable tips and techniques.
“In this busy year, with the build up to the Olympics, we are delighted Emile has found time to visit us.”
Emile runs his own training livery yard in the Cotswolds and has ridden in numerous events at World, Olympic and European level. He has also trained many horses to Grand Prix having won Team European gold, silver and bronze medals and Individual European bronze on Virtu.
The demonstration will take place in the Bishop Burton Arena on Friday, February 3. Doors open at 6.30pm and the demonstration will start at 7pm.
Tickets are £25 in advance or £30 on the door. For tickets, call Kathryn Megan on (01964) 553087.
