IT was third time lucky for Friars Hill Pony Club, which finally held its Fun & Presentation evening, having cancelled the event on two previous occasions due to the adverse weather conditions.
The children enjoyed a mounted games session followed by the presentation of pony club badges which members had studied toward at Friars Hill Stables, Sinnington.
Marton-based Ella Turnbull achieved a total of five mini badges, which are aimed at those children who are not quite old enough to take the Achievement Badges.
Achievement badges help members to learn a wide range of skills, not just equine, including first aid, farming and map reading.
Mini badges were presented as follows: Grooming – Becky Alvey & Ella Turnbull; Feeding – Holly Hudson & Ella Turnbull; Pony Behaviour – Ella Turnbull & Millie Barnes; Rugs – Ella Turnbull; Points of the Pony – Ella Turnbull.
Care of the Horse’s Foot badges went to: Georgie Mosley, Sophie Nichol, Dan Ingham, Sophie Brammar, Katrina Shepherd, Rebecca Champion and Alison Pashby.
Recipients of Feeding badges were: Alison Pashby, Tat Heard, Jasmine Corley, Rebecca Champion, Sadie Ellis and Katrina Shepherd.
The following members passed their Pony Club D Test: Ellie Sellers, Saskia Brooks, Asha Wright and Jody Salton.
