THERE was another good turnout with lots of new faces at the Friars Hill Stables unaffiliated showjumping competition on Saturday, June 27. Norton-based Lois Teal claimed two impressive victories in the 75cm and 85cm with pony, Percy, while brother Jack Teal took the top spot in the 85cm with his new ride, Fleck.

Fleck has enjoyed much success with Victoria and Tiffany Robson, and looks like maintaining that winning form under the guidance of Jack Teal.

Lucinda Lumley dominated the senior classes, with a win in both the 75cm and 85cm horse classes, on board Crown Jewel.

The next event at Friars Hill will be the annual showjumping and gymkhana, in aid of the Friars Hill RDA Group, on Saturday, July 25. Schedules are available from Friars Hill Stables. Please send a SAE.

The next showjumping competition will be held on Monday, July 27, from 4pm onwards – again schedules available from Friars Hill. This competition is pre-entry only. No entries will be taken on the day.
