Dead heat as two set the same time

AN exceptional number of riders turned out for the last competition of the spring season, an unaffiliated show jumping held last Sunday at Manor Farm, Thornthorpe.

First place in the Junior Novice was shared equally between Jenny Clarke on Hissi and Caragh Richardson on Holly after they both amazingly completed their rounds with exactly the same time, to the hundredth of a second on the electronic timer.

Local rider Tiffany Robson took the Junior Intermediate class with her very capable mount Fleck and Jack Teal gave a super performance on his ride Trigger to secure first place in the Junior Open.

The afternoon saw the turn of the senior riders and Clare Townley had a fantastic result with her horse Phoenix Bay to take first place in both the Senior Intermediate and Senior Open classes.

The winners of each class received a trophy and £25 worth of equestrian vouchers. All classes were kindly sponsored by Robinson & Co Saddlery.
