THE Middleton Hunt branch of the pony club held a successful show cross competition last weekend with prizes donated by Robinsons Equestrian in Malton.
The venue, just outside Sheriff Hutton, is a popular course for the pony clubs with its variety of cross country fences suitable for all ages and abilities ranging from 40cms for the tiny tots, up to 85cms for the more experienced riders.
Members from the Middleton and Sinnington pony clubs were on flying form with Young Bronwen Davies taking the lead rein class in fine style for the Sinnington branch.
Samantha Brown, kept up her top form on her coloured skewbald, Tommy, to win the biggest class of the day in the 85cms for the Middleton branch.
The results were: Class 1 Lead Rein – 1 Bronwen Davies (Sinningon), 2 Oliver Collins (Middleton), 3 Anna Fitzgerald (Middleton) Class 2 45cm – 1 Lara Evans (Derwent), 2 Eleanor Clark (Middleton), 3rd Izzy Camacho (Middleton) Class 3 60cm – 1 Shay Halton (Glaisdale), 2 Alex Cordingly (Sinnington), 3 Martha Cussins (Sinnington) Class 4 85cm qualifier – 1 Samantha Brown (Middleton), 2 Izzy Gregory (Middleton), 3 Annabelle Wood (Vale Of York).
