LYNDA Fairclough, from Sheriff Hutton, and her mare, Breffne Brou, were in flying form at Malton Riding Club’s monthly showjumping competition last Sunday.

The pair clocked up two wins and a second from the three classes. They were the only ones to finish with a clear round against the clock in the novice class, making them winners.

The intermediate saw five combinations through to the jump-off with the pair gaining the fastest clear yet again in just over 30 seconds.

The open class being the largest class of the day saw six go through to the jump-off, this time it was Amy Milburn riding Wilson, who took first place, just beating Lynda against the clock by two seconds.

Duggleby rider Rebecca Crashaw is getting her mojo back after having a few years away from competition. Riding Apache, the pair are becoming a force to be reckoned with in the pony sections, after winning both the novice and the intermediate classes with clear rounds.

The club’s next competition is evening dressage on Friday, at the club field in Norton.
