FRIARS Hill had a quieter turn-out for its monthly showjumping due to the snow fall, but still managed to run a full sheet of classes.
The 55cms and 65cms classes saw one clear round from several entries, leaving Emily Tweddle riding Flash and Alfie Leat-Smith riding Winnie the winners, respectively.
Robyn Welford, from Aislaby, was out getting some practice in ready for the area 4 riding club’s showjumping where she will be representing the Malton club for the first time. The pair managed a foot-perfect clear in the first round of the 75cms, with a super fast round in the jump off leaving her in the top spot ahead of Helen Holdsworth and Politically Incorrect.
Jody Salton, riding Blaze, had a successful day won the Take Your Own Line and was fifth in the 75cms. Courtney Barker could not be caught in the 86cms where she and Tigger left a clean pair of heels after whizzing round the jump off ahead of Rebecca Champion and Grey.
