YORK and District Riding Club’s monthly dressage competitions are proving to be a hit over the winter months with the club’s dressage riders.
With not much else happening on the competition circuit, the club has already issued a waiting list for January and February, with the March entries already half full.
This month’s dressage also gave a full day for the judges and helpers where Alex Hughes was on form with her mount, Indie in the intro A.
She produced a lovely test giving them a two per cent lead over Susie Wildey and Nancy No Name.
The prelim 7 class saw Kate Jennings and Vicky Parkinson vying for first place with Kate just narrowly beating Vicky, a turnaround from last month's results between the pair.
The pick-a-test class saw Emma Chipchase Smith and Finn ride a polished and accurate test in the medium, with Kate Jennings and Johnny just half a mark behind them riding a prelim test.
Jackie Snow and Bucks Fizz took the final red ribbon of the day with a decent lead over Vicky Parkinson and Boots.
The results were:
Intro A – 1 Alex Hughes & Indie, 2 Susie Wildey & Nancy No Name, 3 Dave Brackpool & Coda, 4 Barbara Boston & Russian gold, 5 Samantha McClaren & Poco A Poco.
