ELIZ COOK trotted away with a double on the veteran, Boss Tweed, in the prelim 14 and novice class keeping them at the top of the leader board in the Friars Hill winter dressage league.
Anna Nightingale produced a lovely test to take the lead in the intro class over Kerry Miller and Sapphire.
Julie Johnson pulled out all the stops, riding Galaxy, to narrowly beat Rebecca Noble and Trigger in second place.
The next dressage competition is on January 4.
The results were: Intro – 1 Anna Nightingale & Marciano, 2 Kerry Miller & Sapphire, 3 Paula Appleby & Eclipse, 4 Sue Miller & Nicky, 5 Nell Murray & Lottie, 6 Fiona Shepherd & Hector.
Prelim 13 – 1 Julie Johnson & Galaxy, 2 Rebecca Noble & Trigger, 3 Kerry Miller & Sapphire, 4 Lauren Bollons & Grey, 5 Fiona Hill & Henderson, 6 Ceri Owen & Clyde.
Prelim 14 – 1 Eliz Cook & Boss Tweed, 2 Rebecca Noble & Trigger, 3 Emily Newman & Blaze, 4 Lauren Bollons & Grey, 5 Lucinda Sanderson & Comet, 6 Jenny Panton & Rico.
Novice – 1 Eliz Cook & Boss Tweed, 2 Vicky Stanhope & Electric Storm, 3 Rebecca Champion & Max, 4 Jess Thurlow & Henderson.
