LUCY CARVER, 15, from Weaverthorpe, achieved her ultimate goal for this year with Powerstation to qualify for the Showjumper of the Year at the Horse of the Year show at the NEC Birmingham in October.

The pair have already qualified for the Foxhunter final class at the Horse of the Year Show earlier in the year, and has since stepped up to jumping the bigger JA tracks.

It took Powerstation just three attempts at these top-level qualifiers to gain the ticket entry for the Showjumper of the Year class.

Powerstation and Lucy, a Norton College pupil, have achieved so much and for him to qualify for this prestigious final in his first couple of months at this level is amazing.

Powerstation and Lucy, a Norton College pupil, qualified at Welsh Home Pony held at Chepstow at the end of July. The pair came fifth with two of the top five ponys already qualified, it was then passed down to Lucy and Powerstation.

Lucy’s next show is the Scope Festival, which is on August 23, at Stafford showground where Powerstation will jump in the foxhunter masters and the Dunglenn final.

She also takes her other ponys, Carnalecka Quickstep, her young horse TGF Arragorn and also has a ride on Valverdi in the children on horses and under 16s class.
