Snainton riding centre held a very well attended unaffiliated dressage competition again last Thursday with twenty three dressage riders taking part in the popular prelim class.

Sarah Beeforth and her mount, Boris, headed off some stiff competition to win the prelim four class by nearly three percent from a class of twenty one senior competitors, leaving the next five places with less than one percent between them.

Anna Harris riding A Strange Happening rode a superb test in the junior prelim four giving her nearly a ten percent lead from her nearest rival, Sasha Owen.

Allerston rider, John Gill riding his consistent dressage horse, Thorn in the novice thirty took away the honours this time with a good lead from the second placed Charlotte Bradley on Silver Fountain to give him a qualifying place at the Snainton dressage championships for the World Boy novice championship trophy at the end of summer.

Snainton riding centres next unaffiliated dressage competition is held on Thursday, August 14th.

Prelim 4 senior – 1 Sarah Beeforth & Boris, 2 Kelly Brown & Misty, 3 Ann Owen & Venture, 4 John Gill & Thorn, 5 Wendy Bulmer & Dungannon Lad, 6 Charlotte Bradley & Silver fountain.

Prelim 4 juniors – 1 Anna Harris & A Strange Happening, 2 Sasha Owen & Alfinsky.

Novice 30 – 1 John Gill & Thorn, 2 Charlotte Bradley & Silver Fountain, 3 Kimberley Emsley & Ben, 4 Sarah Beeforth & Boris, 5 Ann Owen & Venture, 6 Kelly Brown & Misty.
