THE Cara Shardlow dressage competition at Beckside Livery was once again a success despite having to use the arena next door to warm-up due to the usual field being too wet.

Nicola Shepherdson went home pleased with Rory, after winning the top spot in the intro with a five per cent lead in their first outing in just over a year.

Lauren Burton is having a good year with Land Quest and Ranger. The trio have been on flying form since the season started, having had several wins at Thornthorpe Equestrian earlier on in the year.

Ranger took the lead in the prelim with some positive comments from the judge, leaving Land Quest with a comfortable third. Having a role reversal in the novice test, it was this time, Land Quest's victory leaving his stablemate, Ranger, back in fourth place.

The next dressage competition at Beckside Livery will be held on Thursday, June 26, details can be found at beckside livery.co.uk
