NORTON’S Lois Teal is riding on the crest of a wave on the showjumping championship circuits.
She walked away as individual champion with Castle Quarter Totti in the NSEA inter schools qualifier at Bury Farm Equestrian Village in Buckinghamshire.
Lois competed in the 80cms showjumping final, along with team mates from Norton College which included Kiera Colgan riding Tommy, Sabine Crowe on Emma and Brittany Wheldon on board Tally.
Lois and Castle Quarter Totti had a five-second lead from their nearest rival. The college team finishing in ninth place from the 29 teams which took part.
Earlier, Lois and her mount, Fleck, travelling to the Dengie Pony Clubs championships at Moreton Morrell, Warwickshire after having qualified at Wood Nook arena near Huddersfield with a clear win.
The warm up round saw the pair part company and be eliminated. But Lois put the blip behind her and finished with a double clear for the final class, giving her fourth place with less than two seconds between the top four riders.
