YOUNGSTERS have demonstrated their creative skills in an Easter art competition.

Wallis office suppliers, in Malton, ran the contest with prizes including Easter eggs and a £20 gift voucher for the winners.

Children aged three to seven were invited to draw an Easter bunny, while those aged eight to 11, an Easter scene.

The school the winner attends receives £50 to spend on stationery.

The winners were: age three to seven – Emily Scott, seven, from Slingsby Primary School, runners up – Anna Fitzgerald, four, and Jack Scott, five.

Age eight – 11 – winner Curtis Stinton, eight, from Malton Primary School, runners up Lewis Ashton Chapman, eight, and Ellie Armistead, nine.

Peter Wallis, from the company, said: “On behalf of all the staff at our Malton branch, I would like to thank everyone who entered the competition.

“There was a lot of entries and the standard was very high in both age categories, with some of the younger age group having tremendous imagination and produced very colourful and entertaining pictures, which made the judging process very difficult.”
