A FUNDRAISING effort by parents and members of the community has provided 16 new tablet computers for Helmsley Primary School.
The Friends of Helmsley School raised more than £2,500 through a combination of bake sales, a sponsored event and other activities to go towards paying the Learnpad tablet computers.
Headteacher Tim Hiley said: “The tablets, which are specifically designed for education, will enable the children to explore apps, ebooks and other content specifically tailored to their work.
“The tablets will be used by children across the school from Early Years to Year 6 and will provide a fantastic resource to support children’s learning in a fun and engaging way. We are incredibly grateful to the Friends of Helmsley School.”
