AMOTHERBY Primary School has been praised as a “good” school by Ofsted inspectors.
The school was found to be performing well in all areas including leadership, behaviour, quality of teaching, achievement of pupils and early years provision.
Lead inspector Lindsay Hall said the school has improved rapidly since its last inspection because leaders have ensured that teaching has strongly improved.
She said: “The headteacher, Sue Knowles, provides strong, focused leadership for the school.
“She has created a robust staff team that shares the commitment and determination to provide the best possible learning and experiences for the pupils.
“Pupils achieve well and make good progress in English and maths and teaching is consistently good and sometimes outstanding.”
Mrs Knowles said: “I am delighted to have an Ofsted report which was a true reflection of the school and wanted to thank the community of Amotherby for the support they show the school.”
