YOUNG artists at Terrington Hall School have put paint to paper for their annual art exhibition.
Pupils from Year 3 to Year 8 submitted pieces which ranged from watercolours and oil paintings to pencil drawings, pastels, charcoals, collages and batiks.
There were many drawings in both pencil and ink of the surrounding countryside in the Howardian Hills, while the works of Monet and Van Gogh were well represented in the batiking and the work of Victor Figol featured heavily amongst the winners The exhibition, which was organised by Terrington’s head of art, Natalie Glen, received praise from this year’s external competition judge Sian Gabraitis, head of art at The Mount School in York.
Mrs Gabraitis said: “I am impressed by the confidence with which the children have experimented across many media.
“There is a lot of individuality and talent on display here and this should be encouraged.”
