We want you
Very shortly the Gazette & Herald will be launching a new service on its website, giving people the chance to become community reporters and tell the world what is happening in their street or village, school or society.
There may be problems with vandalism or local children might be staging a play in the village hall, but whatever it is – good news or not so good – we want you to be able to tell everyone about it using an up-and-coming feature called RyeNews.
Using the Gazette & Herald website, designated members of the public will be able to upload stories directly on to the internet allowing thousands of people to read what they have written. And that is where you come in. We are inviting you, and lots of other people like you, to take advantage of this service, and share your news and views, events and challenges, with the rest of us, directly onto the Gazette's website.
The new service will come online in the next few weeks. To register an interest in becoming a community reporter email janice.olsen@thepress.co.uk with your name, address and contact details.
