A LONDON project by a Thirsk lighting specialist has made the finals of a UK-wide industry award.
The Bayswater Residence project is a finalist in the Lighting Design Awards taking place on Thurday, March 19, at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
Thirsk-based Brilliant Lighting designed the lighting scheme for the Georgian House and the rebuilt modern mews.
The scheme makes use of LED technology, colour and a control system to deliver mood lighting, with Brilliant Lighting drawing on some of the UK’s finest architectural and decorative lighting suppliers such as LightGraphix, ACDC, Tom Kirk and Bradford-based Applelec.
Brilliant Lighting worked with Applelec’s innovative colour-changing LED Light Sheet to create an entrance to the mews house.
The sheets of LED frame the doorway and can be programmed to any colour through a Lutron lighting control system controlled via the client’s iPad.
Brilliant Lighting is up against Tesco, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Heathrow Airport in the Client of the Year Category.
