PLB gains customer award

A consultancy and design company based at Swinton Grange, near Malton, has been given a prestigious award for its customer service.

PLB, which helps plan and implement displays and exhibitions in the heritage, cultural and environmental sector, has received the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance accreditation. One of PLB's recent projects was to work on the new entrance building and visitor centre at Helmsley Castle for English Heritage, bringing its story to life for visitors of all ages with 'hands-on' informative displays.

Marketing manager Kate Asquith said: "The accreditation is an excellent way for PLB to prove the quality of all our work.

"We consistently receive excellent feedback from clients but this award will, I'm sure, be reassurance for new clients.

''Many of the large-scale projects we work on are part-financed by Heritage Lottery Funding. Therefore, we have to undergo rigorous qualification and tendering procedures."

The award is the result of nearly a year's preparation for the company, with stringent internal auditing procedures covering all aspects of the company's operations.

Kate added: "The ISO accreditation reflects the attention we pay to the quality of our service."
