Lunch kicks off networking events

A SERIES of network events for businesses is being launched next week.

St Catherine's Hospice will host its first business lunch at the Mount Hotel, Scarborough, on Friday, when the guest speaker will be Scarborough and Whitby MP Robert Goodwill.

Mandy Mellers, the charity's director of fundraising, said the aim was to bring big and small businesses together to network.

"Firstly it will be an opportunity for us to tell businesses about recent and future developments at the hospice," she said.

"It will also be an excellent opportunity for large and small businesses to network and enjoy lunch."

If the event is a success it will be the first of more networking events organised by the hospice.

The cost of the lunch is £15. Anyone wanting to attend should send payments to St Catherine's Hospice, Fundraising Centre, Throxenby Lane, Scarborough.
