EU maze talk
JOHN Ashworth, environmental spokesman for Save Britain's Fish (SBF) and chairman of Ryedale Conservative Association, spoke to the Sherburn Agricutural Discussion Group at their regular monthly meeting.
John spoke on 'Understanding the EU Maze' with particular reference to the farming community and SBF's experiences with the EU. John's experience with the EU helped him to explain the EU Treaties from which the regulations and directives are derived, the Commission who are guardians of the treaties and the Supremacy of the National Parliament.
