Eating for those on the move

Leisurely lunches are on the menu at a Pickering hotel thanks to its new faxback pre-order form.

The White Swan Hotel in the Market Place has introduced the phone or fax system to allow busy people to choose from a new set price lunch menu and make the most of their time.

Customers can let the hotel know their order so the chefs can be making it as they arrive.

Priced at £10 for two courses or £12.95 for three, it is available in the hotel's bar, lounge or restaurant.

Lisa Fraser, from The White Swan Inn, said: "All our food is cooked to order and it takes a little longer to prepare, so we decided to offer the phone and fax ordering option because we know that people don't always have time for a long lunch.

''Anyone travelling from further afield can now pre-order and enjoy a relaxed lunch knowing they can enjoy three courses and still get back to work on time."
